On April 29, Pelham Together’s Youth Council led a powerful town hall focusing on what it means to be a trusted adult for young people.
The town hall reinforced a simple yet transformative truth: every young person deserves a trusted adult, and every adult has the capacity to be one.

Read MorePelicones, the beloved local, youth-run ice cream truck, is celebrating five years of serving up smiles and delicious treats to the community. Except, this vintage truck has been a part of Pelham for a lot longer than that and was known as Nancy’s truck. The previous owner, Nancy Romm, a town icon, went from sports games, to practices, to front-yard parties, covering every neighborhood in Pelham selling Good Humor ice cream for over 40 years, creating lasting memories for generations of Pelham families.
Read MoreThe Child Mind Institute has created this exceptional video addressing how and when to talk to your kids about drugs and alcohol. Parents are generally pretty clear that the conversation must be had, but we can easily push it off out of fear, or because we really don’t have a clear script in mind and don’t know what to expect. Oftentimes, our parents did not have this conversation with us, and we have no role models in how to proceed. This video not only gives terrific talking points, but acknowledges how difficult it can be, and provides strategies for keeping the lines of communication open.

Board games, picnic blankets, guitars, sleeping bags and snacks were scattered across Ingalls Field on June 15. More than 50 Pelham teens, united by the common cause of mental health, came together for the first annual Pelham Overnight.

Located on Ingalls Field, the Overnight encouraged teens to sign up as groups or as individuals who committed to continue walking around the field for the entire event (groups had to have at least one walker at a time).
