Youth Leadership Summit for PMS Students

Student with mic.jpg

Pelham Middle School students, grades 7 & 8, who participated in the Student Ambassador training last spring and their Action Partners are invited to attend a Youth Leadership Summit on Thursday, November 21, an early release day. Guided by a facilitator, students will participate in interactive activities designed to engage students in establishing and maintaining a positive school climate, incorporating principles of character education and a culture of dignity.

Students will build on the concepts of self-awareness and communication skills discussed as part of the character education work with Rosalind Wiseman last spring. The goal for the day is to encourage students to work together to identify action steps that promote certain core principles—empathy, caring relationships, responsibility, community building, to name a few—that they can implement when they return to school, driving youth voice in establishing a school culture built on dignity.

All participating students must REGISTER HERE and complete a signed Permission Slip and return it to the PMS Main Office by Monday, November 18, 2019.
