Webinar: How To Talk With Kids About Events In The News, Violence, and Uncertainty

On Tuesday, Dec. 21, Pelham Together held a webinar focused on speaking with children about difficult topics. Two licensed psychologists, who are also Pelham moms, led the discussion. They address a variety of strategies, as well as differences in how to handle different ages. We found their talk to be tremendously informative, full of approaches to use right now - and in their words, it’s never too late - if you feel like you may not have handled something in the best way the first time around, you can always own that and go back and try again. Children are accepting that way. This recording can be useful to adults at all stages of the parenting conversation! Thank you so much to Dr. Emily Upshur and Dr. Sarah Bren for their time and service to the Pelham community.
