Thank You to Our Summer 2020 Internship Mentors

Mentors listen to intern teams’ final presentations—a sports marketing campaign for the Utah Jazz; a pitch for the new Apple iPhone 12, and a community planning project connecting local businesses to hospitals to help frontline workers during the pandemic.

This summer Pelham Together hosted 44 teen interns - what a feat in this Covid-19 landscape. With so many jobs and internships no longer available to our kids, these positions offered opportunities to gain life and work skills, connect with others including other adults, and earn money at the same time!  While the training and much of the actual work had to be done virtually, the mentors provided real, meaningful experiences for our youth.  We could not have done it without our partnerships with local businesses, organizations and individuals who were equally committed to supporting our young people.  From business, to elected officials, to non-profits and civic organizations, to journalists, and so much more, thank you to the adults who devoted a portion of their summer to ensuring our teens had opportunities they would otherwise not have had.
