Technology & Social Media
About
The generation of kids and teens growing up today must contend with the constant presence of screens, smartphones, and social media at increasingly younger ages. It is unchartered territory for them–and for their parents. The information below aims to help parents who are struggling to figure out what sorts of limits work best for their families. Resources include articles and research on the effects of screens and technology on young people’s mental health and wellness. There are infographics and summaries from parent discussion groups held locally in Pelham, collecting other parent's’ suggestions and strategies. We highlight recommend a fellow Pelham mom’s newsletter, Thoughts From a Digital Mom, for regular updates and insights on this topic.
