Preventing Substance Misuse and Addiction: a cOMMUNITY cONVERSATION
Parents Talk Lunch & Learn (virtual - registration required)
Join Pelham Together for a virtual workshop with a local psychologist on one of the most important challenges facing today’s families: substance misuse and addiction.
This timely conversation will explore:
Why young people experiment with substances, which substances are most commonly misused, and the risk and protective factors that influence these behaviors.
Practical strategies for preventing risky drinking and drug use, how to have open and productive conversations with your children, and what families and communities can do to support healthy choices.
A clear, compassionate overview of addiction and available treatment options.
Designed for parents and caregivers, this workshop offers a chance to learn, reflect, and ask questions in a welcoming, non-judgmental space.
This event is free, but registration is required.
Grab your lunch, log in from wherever you are, and take an hour for yourself. The session will be held via Zoom and includes a 15-minute Q&A with our guest speaker.
You can also submit any questions you'd like the speaker to answer or consider in advance with your registration. A recording of the session will be available to all those who register.
