Center For Respect: Safer Choices for my Child in a Sexualized World

Mike Dimitrz, Center for Respect

Parents of teens, be a part of this must-attend talk with Mike Domitrz, author and a leading expert on respect, consent, and sexual assault prevention. Mike is a world-renowned speaker on these topics after turning a family tragedy into a life of advocacy and service and is well known across the country for his powerful college orientation presentations. In fact, Mike was referred to us from a PMHS alum who, after hearing him speak at college orientation said, “I wish I had heard you speak in high school.”

Join us on 10/1 at 7pm at the PMHS Auditorium for a powerful seminar designed to help you guide your teens through the challenging world of dating, intimacy, safety and relationships.

We may not like to talk about the topics of intimacy, consent, and sexual assault with our kids, but we know we have to. Mike Domirtz is coming to Pelham to help parents get into these conversations for the sake of keeping all our children safe as they get older. PT, with the support of Pelham Education Foundation, is looking forward to welcoming Mike to Pelham.

In this presentation, parents and caregivers will discover essential steps for helping their teens with making safer choices, including:

  • how to start the talk and get your child to listen

  • addressing the awkwardness (all of it)

  • consent & how to be a role model

  • the exact words for discussing intimacy

  • the dangers from alcohol

  • the impact of porn and sexting on today’s youth

This isn’t just another talk—it’s a chance to help your teens navigate a complex, sexualized world with confidence and safety. We need to provide an accurate headcount so please register today and invite other parents and caregivers to join us! Let’s work together to ensure a safer, more respectful future for our teens.
