Meet Olivia Ting, Our New Youth Advocate
We’re thrilled to introduce Olivia Ting as Pelham Together’s new Youth Advocate. A longtime Pelham resident and graduate of PMHS, Olivia graduated from Tufts University and brings a background in English, Sociology, and a deep commitment to community well-being. She’s spent the past few years working with nonprofits, supporting youth and families, and conducting community-based research—both locally and abroad.
The Youth Advocate role is a key component of our broader mission: to integrate young people into civic life, provide multiple opportunities to find meaning, purpose, and build connectedness, while ensuring they are surrounded by trusted adults who see, hear, and support them. As a steady presence in their lives, Olivia helps young people feel genuinely valued—and reminds the adults in their world how powerful that kind of connection can be.
Olivia has always centered her work around connection, advocacy, and trust. She has helped refugee families navigate resettlement services at the International Rescue Committee and has led campus initiatives to support student voices. She even spent time in France as an au pair, strengthening her passion for building relationships across age and experience.
Olivia joined Pelham Together in March and has already jumped into her work with energy and purpose. She works closely with our Youth Council and Middle School Club supporting civic engagement projects that help students find their voice, express their ideas, and grow into community leaders. Olivia is also leading our Summer Internship and Pelicones employment programs, providing Pelham youth opportunities to build work skills through real life experiences.
Outside of work, you might find her swimming, cycling, reading, or knitting sweaters she may or may not finish. We hope you’ll take a moment to say hello and welcome Olivia to this meaningful role in our community. Reach out to Olivia anytime at oting@pelhamtogether.org—she would love to talk with you about getting your child involved in Pelham Together!
