SummerFest '22 Brings Pelham Community Together!

SummerFest ‘22 was a huge hit! The weather was beautiful and fun was enjoyed by all ages, as the community came out to enjoy a wide range of activities—some competitive, some not—music, art, dogs, ice cream, our special town, and one another.

The teen bands, with sound managed by Natalie Pursel, were fantastic. The range of musicians—from soloist to full ensembles, from a cappella to ukulele, from first time to veteran performances—made it an afternoon of sheer musical bliss, and yet another glimpse into the tremendous talent among our young people. Our furry friends in the Dog Parade made their way down Wolfs Lane, led by PMHS junior and drummer Jack DeVivo, and three winners walked away with Best Costume, Most Pelham Pride, and Best Trick! Our volleyball tournament was fun to join and possibly even more fun to watch! Intense, but friendly, competition ruled the day and the team captained by Nora Tahbaz went home victorious. Younger kids loved the lawn games and crafts with DaniLee’s and face painting was worth the wait! All ages enjoyed mini-golf, some many times over, and the tie-dye creations were super impressive! And our littlest friends were truly superheroes as they completed the Tig & Peach obstacle course with their fabulous instructors. Pelicones Ice Cream and the Knickerbocker cotton candy business were on hand to re-fuel with sweets. Inspired by the Live Paint canvas painting created by PMHS junior, Naiya Gonzalez Breen, younger artists took to the community canvas nearby to make their mark. And the day was capped off with our adult-only Beer Garden, which was the perfect, chill way to end the day, in large part thanks to the beauty of Wolfs Lane Park, the sunshine, and the music of Andrew Cole.

At every turn you saw the best of Pelham—people smiling and connecting across ages on a beautiful day. You saw our teens painting little ones’ faces or guiding them with their tie dye; our PMHS graduates playing volleyball against the current Varsity team while parents cheered; our grandparents marching with grandchildren and their pups in the Dog Parade; whole families and peer groups gathered to support and cheer on the musician or artist in their crew. Thank you, Pelham, for reminding us all what joy there is in connection. Summer has officially been kicked off!!

None of this would have been possible without our tireless volunteers and the generosity of our sponsors. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You made it all possible.
