Suicide Prevention Month: A Collection of Resources

This year’s Suicide Prevention month allowed us the opportunity to communicate a number of resources and information around this extremely difficult topic. We’ve put them all together here:

Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is 988 (similar to 911, but for suicide and mental health crises).

Crisis Text Line: Text HELP to 741741 to be connected to a crisis counselor immediately. Read more about the service here.

Guide to anticipating and navigating a mental health crisis from NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness

Support Group For Parents of Adolescents and Young Adults with Mental Illness (monthly, 4th Wednesdays)

How to talk about suicide, from the JED Foundation

A well-vetted compilation of suicide prevention resources from SAMHSA, the Substance Use and Mental Health Services Administration.
