There is No Vaccine For Teenage Despair

This incredibly powerful piece in the New York Times was written by a junior in high school as she reflects on the suicide death of a friend. She warns all of us of the effect isolation has on teenagers and encourages parents and families to take advantage of this time with our children to have open and honest conversations about their feelings—even and especially the ones who seem cheerful and happy.
